Kaboom is all about mixing cultures through the love of comfort food. In 2015, that’s how the original ‘Kaboom Chicken’ started. With my Korean wife Young, and my brother-in-law Rich, we took our family recipe and shared Korean Fried Chicken goodness across GTA food festivals, from our little 10x10 ft. booth.
A couple years later Rich and I decided to take the plunge and opened our first storefront eatery in Riverside, Queen East. With the new space we were able to expand our menu and introduce more of the Korean flavours we know and love. After 3 years of success, I decided to branch out on my own, and created Kaboom Kitchen as a way to continue my love affair with Korean food.
Taking cues from popular Korean street food, as well as my Canadian roots, we have developed our signature sauces and spices to represent that blend of cultures. So whether you're looking to get your fingers sticky with some wings, or just spice up your eggs in the morning, we've got something for you.
I hope you enjoy eating our food as much as we love making it.
